A few weeks ago, Eric Skye, an outstanding jazz guitarist, was in town to pick up his new signature guitar from Santa Cruz Guitar Co and stopped by Vintage Berkeley wine store and played an evening concert with a body of his, Tim Connell. This is one of the most beautiful guitars and the tone was just unbelievable in Eric’s talented hands.
Saturday started off cold and dreary. A morning though getting greasy changing the oil in my early Porsche is a good way to start a day :D After, I headed over to EASY in Emeryville find a bountiful gathering of early 911’s and 356’s along with many familiar friendly faces. A new car however pulled up to take up the front row seat to meet with adoration from many. If I got this correctly, it started life as a 64 356 and not much has been left “unmassaged.” It’s kind of a speedsteer/550/boxter/…bugati. whatever you want to call it, its nothing less than f’ing sick.
